Due to changes in land use by the property owner, the parking lot immediately adjacent to the Inglewood Aquatic Centre has been permanently closed

Following the City of Calgary’s decision in November 2024 to extend the life of the aquatic facility, discussions took place with the parking lot’s landowner. However, an agreement for the use of the parking lot was not renewed due to the landowner's future development plans.

Join in one of Inglewood's longest-standing traditions, the Winter Carnival. Started in 1939, the Winter Carnival has been warming hearts and bringing smiles to faces for 86 years! This year honours some old traditions, like wagon rides and bingo, while also celebrating some new elements like Community Olympics, a group art project, and a tea party for our Inglewood Elders.

Phase Two of the Inglewood Sanitary Trunk (IST) project is underway, with an anticipated completion date of July 2025.

As part of this project, a concrete shaft was built above the normal ground elevation that will need to be leveled with the surrounding greenspace. Due to this, the top two metres of this shaft will need to be demolished to bring it below normal ground elevation so we can eventually plant grass and restore its original look. Once this has been completed, there will be manholes and a curved pipe/vent called a “gooseneck,” along with paving stones in the area so crews have access for required maintenance.

Over the weekend and into next week, JB Paramount Productions and Partners Film Inc will be in Inglewood filming. Residetns and visitors can expect temproary road closures, traffic control, some parking restrictions due to film crew activity in the area. The production company has worked with The City of Calgary to obtain necessary permits and will minimize disruption as much as possible while filming.
