George Moss Park Update
Phase II of The George Moss Park upgrades are officially underway!
A new Skatepark and Pump Track will be key additions to the park, providing a safe and inclusive space for wheeled-sports enthusiasts to develop their skills, connect with others, and enjoy outdoor recreation.
The park’s design is shaped by consultation and research, ensuring it complements existing skateparks in the region while introducing unique features. The open layout will include a diverse mix of terrain elements, from a “street plaza” with ledges, quarter pipes, and hips to a flowing concrete pump track—the first of its kind in Calgary!
Additionally, the park will feature decorative elements inspired by the historic Ogden Hotel and the community’s CP Rail heritage, blending modern recreation with local history. Constuction is expected to commence this summer, with completion of the project anticpated for later in 2025!
A huge thank you goes out the Parks Foundation Calgary and their generous donors, New Line Skateparks for the expertise in design, the Millican Ogden Community Association for their ongoing support, and community champion Zev Kylmochko, for his tireless advocacy and years of hard work bringing the dream of a skatepark in Ogden to life!
