HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

City Council meetings are usually held on Tuesdays starting at 9:30 am in Council Chambers at City Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend Council meetings in person or watch the meeting online through the live webcast. Members are welcome to speak at Public Hearing sessions, either in person or over the phone. Public Hearings are typically held once per month. You can view the calendar of upcoming meetings HERE.

If you don’t feel comfortable speaking publicly but still wish to share your comments, you are welcome to make a written submission using the Public Submission Form.

For those coming to speak in-person at any council meeting, the City of Calgary offers a Transit Ticket Program that provides two complimentary transit tickets for in-person participants at public hearings, as well as a Parking Program that allows for up to 6 hours of complimentary parking in CPA Lot 36 - City Hall Underground Parkade (322 9 Ave SE.)
