Memorial Drive (East) - Temporary Road Closure
Phase Two of the Inglewood Sanitary Trunk (IST) project is underway, with an anticipated completion date of July 2025.
In order to successfully complete this project, crews will have to close the righthand (south lane) of Memorial Drive eastbound between the Bridgeland C-train station and Baines Bridge (Zoo bridge). Traffic will be detoured to the centre and lefthand lane (north lane) for the duration of this work. It is anticipated that this work will take approximately six months to complete.
Construction Schedule
Preparation work is scheduled to begin in late January with various lane closures on Memorial Drive eastbound from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.
Construction work on Memorial Drive is scheduled to begin in mid-February and is anticipated to take approximately six months to complete.
Construction Impacts
On-site construction activity including construction crews, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
Various stoppages of traffic using flaggers to get equipment in and out of our construction site and to ensure worker safety.
Additional traffic and congestion due to construction activities and vehicles.
Noise, vibrations and dust.
Work hours will be from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. seven days a week.
Detours
