Inglewood Water Main Replacement - July Construction Update
After a temporary pause due to the Bearspaw Feeder Main Break and State of Local Emergency in June and July, the City is able to restart work on the Inglewood Water Main extension and replacement on 12 Street SE between 8 Ave SE and 11 Ave SE.
The schedule for the final work in phase 6, along 12 St SE between 9 Ave SE and 11 Ave SE, has been adjusted slightly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
12 Street SE Bike Lane Impacts
The bike lane along 12 Street SE in parts of Inglewood and Ramsay has been temporary removed to facilitate this work and allow for maintained two-way traffic during anticipated lane closures. A revamped bike lane will be reinstalled along 12th Street SE once water main construction is complete.
Construction Schedule
Given that the State of Local Emergency has expired, and The City has moved into stage three water restrictions, construction on the Inglewood water main extension can now continue.
Phase 6: 12 St S.E. between 10 Ave SE and 11 AVE SE.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 22 and be completed by Monday, August 5, 2024
Two-way traffic along 12 Street SE will be shifted to the west side of 12 Street SE
There will be no access to 12 Street SE from westbound 10 Avenue SE
There will be no impacts to 9 Ave SE.
