Request for Submissions: Looking for Ward 9 Artists!

Hey, Ward 9!
Over the next four years, our team has big plans to create several new and informative Ward 9 Maps. (Previous maps have included: the W9 Recreation Map - illustrated by Adrienne Tollas and the W9 Dream Network - illustrated by Sam Hester)
We are looking for local Ward 9 artists to help make these maps happen!
If you are an artist living in Ward 9 that can help us create something unique and beautiful for one of our upcoming maps, please get in touch! This is a paid opportunity, and we are eager to share new and diverse artists for each of our various map projects.
To express your interest or if you have any questions, please send an email to CAWARD9@calgary.ca with the subject ‘W9 ARTIST CALL’
Emails should include:
Your name, contact information, and a little bit about yourself
What community you live in/your connection to Ward 9 (*connections to community aside from residence may be considered)
What medium you work with, as well as a small portfolio sampling of some relevant work (past maps have generally included illustrations of people, places, or notable YYC things)
Links to social media platforms or websites sharing your work
Anything else that may be important for us to know? (do you have a unique experience that may make this process easier? graphic design/layout skills? a hidden talent for drawing vegetables… let us know!)
