After a 15-day Public Hearing, City Council has voted to approve citywide rezoning to allow for the construction of a variety low-density homes across Calgary.

Inglewood and Ramsay volunteers will come together to give the neighbourhood a spring cleaning - Spruce Up Inglewood and Ramsay, The City of Calgary Pathway and River cleanup, and self-led community clean-ups will take place during the morning of May 4th. Following the cleanup, community members are invited to gather for a community BBQ at the Inglewood Community Hall.

Construction for the final phase of the Bridgeland Active Modes Improvements project is starting soon.
The construction is scheduled to occur from May 2024 to mid-June 2024. The work will be carried out in phases along the corridor. Access for drivers and pedestrians will be maintained throughout construction.
As with all road construction projects, temporary localized impacts are inevitable, but The City of Calgary is committed to minimizing disruption to the community.

As part of the Chestermere 17 Avenue SE Water Meter Chamber project, the City of Calgary will be installing a new water meter and accompanying chamber along 17 Avenue SE near the city limits and are decommissioning an existing one.
Prior to the construction, investigative work is required at the site to confirm the location of underground utilities. The work will be completed at the northwest corner of the intersection in the City right-of-way.
This project ensures water quality monitoring standards are met and that the new meter’s location is in accordance with the new City of Calgary’s boundaries.

The City is preparing to replace the water main on 12 Street SE between 8 Avenue SE and 11 Avenue SE.
In advance of construction, hydrovac work is tentatively scheduled to begin on April 20, 2024, on 12 Street SE and 8 Ave SE. This work will take approximately two days to complete and requires that a section of the northbound lane be closed. One lane will remain open for two-way traffic, controlled by on-site Police.

The City of Calgary takes a proactive approach to protecting and replacing aging assets. The water main replacement program reduces emergency water main breaks and service interruptions by replacing corroded mains with new PVC pipe and adding protection to reduce the rate of future corrosion.
Since 1980, this program has contributed to a 73 per cent decrease in the number of emergency water main repairs. As part of this years water main replacement program contract, water mains will be replaced along with some public and private water services in the following Ward 9 areas:
