Inglewood Kitchen Party - April 29th, 2023
Attention, all Inglewood residents! You don't want to miss out on the Inglewood Kitchen Party, the most exciting event of the year!
On Saturday, April 29th, the Colonel Walker Community School Association (CWCSA) is hosting its annual Kitchen Party at the Inglewood Community Hall. Your ticket includes a Texas-style BBQ dinner, a free drink, and live music by the Lovebullies so you can dance the night away! There will also be raffles and silent and live auctions.
For over 25 years, CWCSA has been responsible for raising funds to support parent-led initiatives for the children of Colonel Walker School, the children who attend Colonel Walker Programs Afterschool/Hot Lunch at the Community Center, and the children of Inglewood in general. Last year, the Kitchen Party raised over $8,000 for a number of initiatives including:
Support for Colonel Walker School enhanced programs and residencies such as Indigenous Hoop Dancing residency, In-line skating, ballroom dancing, hip hop dancing, and more!
The start of the Afterschool Program library.
Support for the Shinny program at the community center (open to all).
New Lego for the Afterschool Program.
New outdoor toys for the Afterschool program.
A year-end BBQ for all the students at Colonel Walker School.
Funding for the CWS parent council to keep parent fees low and ensure all students get the same opportunities.
All of these initiatives, among many others, were made possible because of supporters like you. This year the CWCSA hopes to raise more than $5,000 to support their work further.
Don't wait - buy your tickets now and be a part of this incredible community event!
