A New Community Garden for Manchester
Earlier this spring, neighbours in Manchester came together to build a new community garden space for residents to learn about and grow food, herbs, and flowers together.
Community gardens help enhance the health and well-being of neighbourhoods and communities by providing the space and opportunity for people of all skill levels to learn and interact. They are a place where people can connect with nature, better understand where their food comes from, and provide opportunities for sharing and learning.
This summer already saw a variety of events hosted at the Manchester Garden - a rock painting night and kids gardening club we’re both unique opportunities for neighbours to learn about and engage with the new space.
