2024 Calgary Fringe Fest: Aug 2-10
The 2024 Calgary Fringe Festival is taking place Friday, August 2 to Saturday, August 10, 2024 at various venues throughout Inglewood.
What is a Fringe? Fringes are ‘open access’ theatre festivals, bringing together emerging and established artists alike to tell their stories on stage. The first Fringe started in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1947 and has grown into one of the biggest performing arts festivals in the world.
Started in 2006, the Calgary Fringe Theatre Festival strives to support theatre artists of all disciplines by offering opportunities to build community through the theatrical arts. Through community inclusivity and accessible arts programming, Calgary Fringe stresses a broad-based, interdisciplinary approach to the arts, fostering an environment of artistic freedom and expression, and collaborative sharing of stories.

A Little Bit Much
Location: Wood's Homes Inglewood Hub
Mature Content (Age 16+)
Chela Davison dishes the dirt about a life filled with ideas, jokes, sex, drugs, travel, hairdressing, dating, marriage, kids, coaching and relentless personal growth. Shaking her fist at the absurd and unwinnable game of “having it all” and “being somebody”, A Little Bit Much is a raucous ride of a solo show about self-perception and social conditioning. It’s for anyone - particularly any woman - who’s been told they’re “a little bit much.” Directed and dramaturged by fringe legend TJ Dawe.

Sibling dynamics are hard. Cramming them into a small car that smells like old McDonalds’ fries on a six-hour road trip can make them even harder. Sisters Jen and Penny seem to have found themselves in that very car, and to make it worse – they’re late. Terribly late to a wedding they don’t want to attend. Watch as a pleasant drive down memory lane turns into a disaster of cosmic proportions, as perspectives clash, secrets are spilled, and tensions bubble over, all within their blue 2006 Honda Civic.
