2024 Ward 9 Neighbour Day Events: June 15
Neighbour Day is Calgary’s celebration of community connection. Held each year on the third Saturday in June, Neighbour Day is a step toward creating welcoming and inclusive communities where neighbours connect and belong every day of the year.
Good things happen when you get to know your neighbours. They can add a friendly visit to your day, and you can lend a helping hand when needed. Social connection with neighbours reduces loneliness and isolation and builds strong communities where people feel they belong.
Join your neighbours and get involved in Neighbour Day 2024! Below are some of the Ward 9 community events taking place on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

East Calgary Community Fair
10am - 1pm | The Salvation Army Community Resource Centre - 5115 17 Ave SE
Join the annual East Calgary Community Fair happening at the Salvation Army Community Resource Centre.
This event is all about community building, sharing support and resources, and celebrating Neighbour Day together! Come connect with groups working in your community and take part in fun family-friendly activities for all ages.
Dover Neighbour Day
1pm - 4pm | Twin Views Communal Garden - 2951 26 Ave SE
Free Family fun at the Dover Community Garden (In case of rain, the event will move indoors at the Dover Community Hall,)
Live Music, local vendors, kid-friendly crafts, gardening, and snacks. Join your neighbours and have some fun!
YW Inglewood Neighbour Day
10am - 2pm | YW Inglewood Community Hub - 1715 17 Ave SE
Join YW Calgary for their 11th annual Neighbour Day celebration on Saturday, June 15th from 10:00am-2:00pm! They’ll have free food and drinks, live music, a variety of vendors, and activities for all ages.
No registration necessary.
Erin Woods Neighbour Day
10am - 4pm | Erin Woods Community Association - Erin Park Drive SE
An engaging event for the Erin Woods community to come together, share food, and enjoy family-friendly activities.
Island Vibes + Lobster Fest
3pm - 7pm | Bridgeland Community Association - 917 Centre Ave NW
Join the St. Lucia Calgary Cultural Association for a culture showcase and lobster feast! Lobster dinners need to be preordered and paid for by June 9th.
Silvera for Seniors Bridgeland
1pm - 3pm | Silvera for Seniors Aspen Commons - 1171 Bow Valley Lane NE
Stop by for a community BBQ, petting zoo, face painting, and family-friendly activities
APRH Community Pantry Grand Opening
1pm - 2pm | Albert Park Radisson Heights Community Association - 2636 12 Ave SE
In collaboration of the APRH Community Association, join Love with Humanity for their Grand Opening Ceremony of the newest community outdoor food bank, multicultural little free library, and their first free outdoor food bank for pets. Light refreshments will be provided
