Sign up for your yard or garage sale to be included on the ICA Parade of Garage Sales map and app, and get a sign for your sale, and a few paper maps to hand out to shoppers.
If you're an apartment dweller, prefer not to host a sale at your home, or only have a small treasure collection to pass along, register for a spot in the ICA Parking Lot Sale. Only seven spots left.
For this vising Inglewood, plan for a day of garage sale therapy on Saturday, July 22 between 9 AM and 3 PM. Last year, over 30 homes registered to be included on the garage sale map. Start your day at the ICA to pick up a map and check out the parking lot sale, 1740 24th Ave SE.

The Memorial Drive Extension Functional Planning Study What We Heard Report has been posted to the project page.
Thank you to everyone that volunteered their time and input during Phase 2. A recommended plan will be presented to the public in Phase 3 - Reveal to allow community members to learn more about the recommendations and provide feedback to help the project refine the final plan for approval. We anticipate this will happen sometime in the fall of 2023.

The Neighbour Connector Initiative is expanding, and looking to hire new members.
A Community Connector position is the coordinating role, that supports our Neighbour Connector volunteers, with the intention of them also hosting and implementing activities and projects in the community.

Sport Calgary is hosting a new initiative across various communities in Calgary, called All Sport One Community. This project will be in Ward 9 on July 2nd in Dover and August 5th in Ogden!
The goal is to engage individuals of all ages in sport, play, and active living. Participants will benefit from trying sports they previously did not feel were accessible or did not know were available to them within their community. By partnering with sport organizations located in the area where the event is being held to deliver the sports, participants will be able to directly join a program afterward if they are interested.

Jane’s Walk 2023 is taking place May 5, 6 + 7. Calgarians of all ages are invited to participate in free walking tours throughout the city!
A global event inspired by and in honour of Jane Jacobs, an urbanist and activist who championed a fresh, community-based approach to city building. Jane believed that in order to properly observe how people, through their actions and interactions, create communities with a strong sense of belonging, we need to get out and walk the city.
