GreenLine - 78th Ave SE Embarkment Construction
Construction in Ogden is set to begin the week of July 26th, 2023 to prepare for the GreenLine. The embankment is being built to facilitate the construction of the vehicle tunnel at 78 Avenue SE
About this Project:
Before building the station and tracks, a pedestrian tunnel will be constructed near 72 Avenue SE, a vehicle tunnel will be built at 78 Avenue SE, and a portion of 78 Avenue SE will be upgraded. Once the tunnel at 78 Avenue SE. is complete and open to traffic, the vehicle crossing at 69 Avenue S.E. will be permanently closed. Calgary-based company, Graham Construction, has been selected to build this project.
What to expect?
Heavy vehicles on 78 Avenue S.E. and on 76 Avenue S.E.
30 km/hr speed restriction along both 78 Avenue and 76 Avenue S.E. between Ogden Road and the project site.
Removal of parking on the north side of 78 Avenue S.E. from Ogden Road to the project site.
Weather permitting, work will occur Monday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Flaggers will be present to ease entry and exit from the construction site.
While mitigations will be in place, there may be dust, soil, and debris in the area.
Construction can be noisy, and vibrations may be felt during work hours.
