The Mustard Seed - Ogden Hub:29
We were fortunate to be invited to tour the newest Mustard Seed project in Ogden, Hub:29. Set to open early next year, the former United church site is now being stewarded by The Mustard Seed, delivering a unique mixed-use social hub and affordable housing project in the community. Hub:29 was designed to bring people together, exemplifying the true meaning of community, anchored in the betterment and wellbeing of all residents.
The main floor consists of a flexible community space, a coffee shop, and a commercial kitchen where people can gather, cook together, learn about food literacy, and share meals. The lower level provides much-needed daycare services to the community, while up above, there are 24 units of affordable housing specifically geared towards families in need of a safe place to call home. The building is comprised of 17 3-bedroom units and 7 2-bedrooms. All come fully furnished, and several are wheelchair accessible. There are two beautiful rooftop patio spaces for residents to enjoy, as well as an outdoor playground.
Just blocks from the future Ogden GreenLine station, and across the street from the newly updated George Moss Park, this beautiful and welcoming space is poised to become something REALLY special in Ogden.
