Historic East Calgary Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) - Guidebook for Great Communities 101
As part of preparing the draft Historic East Calgary Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP), the planning team is hosting a public session about the Guidebook for Great Communities (Guidebook) and how it informs the ARP.
The planning team will be giving a presentation, followed by conversation period with the planning team and the attendees. Seating is limited, so please register here. (if there is a need for a waiting list, there may be a second session)
When: Wednesday, March 11, 2020
What: Guidebook 101 session for the Historic East Calgary Area Redevelopment Plan
Where: Festival Hall - 1215 10 Ave SE
When: 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
The Guidebook is going to the Planning and Urban Design Committee (PUD) on March 4. Following PUD, The City’s Planning team will build on the recommendations found in the B & A report and complete developing the ARP. They will also use the Guidebook’s urban form classification system (Chapter 2 of the Guidebook) and formalize related policies, which will help guide future development opportunities in the Inglewood and Ramsay communities.
The Guidebook helps to highlight and manage many aspects of a community’s Identity and Place. As part of a separate initiative, The City is undergoing a Council-directed review of available heritage conservation tools and incentives. More information on these potential policy tools will be provided at this session.
