17th Annual Bike To Work Day - Friday, May 3, 2024
Calgary’s 17th annual Bike to Work Day is taking place on Friday, May 3rd, 2024!
BTWD brings together like-minded Calgarians to promote cycling as a viable means of transportation, reduce inner-city traffic congestion, and reduce pollution in the air. Cycling is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle and can be very cost-effective – not to mention how much time is saved by not sitting in traffic.
The event features energy pit stops throughout downtown supported by Calgary’s bicycle retailers, offering free swag, bicycle tune-ups, and prizes. A free pancake breakfast along with numerous vendors will take place at the BTWD hub at Delta Gardens (near the Peace Bridge).
Additionally, Lonny Balbi has pledged to donate $1 for every BTWD participant to a local cycling charity. This year's charity is Two Wheel View.
Learn more about scheduled events, energy pit stops, and how to get involved through the Calgary Bike to Work Day website.
