2023 Ward 9 Annual Major Paving Projects
The City's annual paving program is a widespread portfolio comprised of many major road paving projects and smaller projects localized within select communities (managed by The City's Mobility team). Our paving team's focus is pavement rehabilitation work, typically on some of Calgary's busiest routes. As part of the City of Calgary's ongoing efforts to improve and maintain infrastructure, the paving program plays an essential role in ensuring our streets and sidewalks are safe and accessible for all citizens.
This season, work is anticipated to begin in June and continue through to October. The main priority of the program is asphalt roadway repair or replacement however work may also include localized repair and replacement of concrete sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, and curbs and gutters. We understand that this work may cause some disruptions to your community, and it’s our goal to do what we can to minimize impacts.
Below is a complete list of projects in Ward 9 – project locations can also be found on the Calgary Roadway Activities Map. Please note, locations may be added, removed, or delayed due to weather. resource availability, or coordination with other City projects and initiatives.
Once work begins, nighttime and weekend work may be necessary on some major roadways to minimize disruptions, and to ensure there is minimal impact to commuters, businesses, and emergency services. Regular project updates will be posted online at Annual Paving Program and other communication channels, so you and your community can stay informed about our progress and any changes to the paving schedule.
