Woodworking Skills Development Training Program
The Wood Manufacturing Council is very proud to announce that they are offering Woodworking Skills Development Training for Calgary, AB and area residents. Ideal for Students (not returning to school) as well as Career-Seekers looking for something new.
Learn Workplace Skills and receive pre-Employment Training. Get prepared for work with companies that produce Millwork, Kitchen Cabinets, Furniture, Wood Windows and Doors, Modular Housing etc.
Project Start Date: August 15, 2022. Classes run from 9:00 AM -3:00 PM Daily
Training offered at Fuse33 Makerspace, 1720 Radisson Dr. SE, Calgary, AB
YOU’LL RECEIVE:
2 weeks PAID Essential Skills Training, combined with 10 Weeks of shop-floor Skills Training
PLUS Work-Placement Training allowance (24 weeks total - and full-time employment!)
Free shop gear: steel-toed work boots, carpenters’ pouch, tools
Repayment of bus fare used for travel to program and training sites (if required)
Safety certifications with all the latest credentials
YOU MUST BE:
Legally entitled to work in Canada, a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
18-30 years of age
Available for full-time training
Committed to attending classes on a full-time basis
