Cold Weather Response
During the cold winter months, we need to be extra diligent about looking out for one another.
If you see someone that needs help, ask if you can call the DOAP Team to assist them: 403-998-7388. If you see someone in serious distress, call 911.
Calgary Emergency shelters are currently operating 24/7. Space remains available, with occupancy at 75-80%.
Additional services:
Free shuttle services between select LRT stations and the Drop-In Centre/Alpha House between 8:30PM and 1:00AM.
Additional warming spaces created at five locations.
The Salvation Army Mobile Warming Station will be at various LRT stations daily offering hot food and drinks.
The City’s Animal Services Centre is accepting the pets of unhoused owners for up to 30 days. Access can be arranged through the DOAP Team or emergency shelters.
